I tried hard to take her for a second semester, but wasn't able to. Jul 16th, Textbook: Yes. Although I got an A, I learned nothing. Her class is a bunch of busy work. Not challenging, or intresting. You get to choose what you would like to write about. Apr 24th, She is a sweetheart!
She is fairly timid but has some great writing ideas and suggestions. Just meet with her and talk through any problems you have with your paper. She is a fairly tough grader but she assigns a final grade on how much you care and how much you have learned. Do the work and readings and you will get an A.

I felt her feedback wasn't elaborated enough but she didn't appear to be a hard grader at all. Overall pretty easy class, show up and participate.
Jan 31st, I really liked Amie at first. However, she is not very smart and the way she grades is ridiculous. I easily should gotten an A in this class, considering she gave A's to foreign kids who can't even compose a grammatically correct sentence. A joke. Dec 22nd, Probably the worst professor I ever had in college, she seems to have a problem with me, she gave everyone As, even those who are not proficient in English except me. Her grading criteria wasn't clear at all, she grades only base on her own opinion.
She was not even close to inspirational or even educational. It sucks that I waste my tuition on her. Tough Grader Get ready to read. Apr 30th, Attendance: Mandatory. Amie was such a good professor I don't understand why she doesn't have great reviews! Every class started with a "fast-write" which I found helpful to get in the zone. Take her, you won't regret it!
Jan 23rd, Textbook: Yes. THis class was insanely easy. If I had showed up on time I would have gotten an A. Really you just write, read, and rewrite things you worked on. As long as you do your work and keep up with the portfolio you'll pass.
Her readings, videos, and discussions, are VERY interesting. But sometimes I felt as though I wasn't really learning much. May 3rd, What a waste of money taking her class. It's unbelievable university like NYU can't find a better writing teacher.
