Exams are from MIT's question bank so it is hard. Jan 10th, Sharon's a nice person but this must have been the most disorganized class I've ever taken at BU. Lectures were generally hard to follow mostly her scribbling on the board aimlessly , discussions were a joke, the labs were almost laughably poorly written, and the tests were horribly difficult.
Overall doable but not enjoyable. One of the few courses where I didn't count down the minutes until an hour and a half had gone by. She really knows her stuff and it shows. The class is so fascinating from both a moral and practical standpoint. Assignments and exams are incredibly fair. Definitely worth the time to take it. Don't let the course level scare you. Yes, Professor Goldberg expects you to work hard. No, it's not impossible. Yes, she's intimidating, but regardless she is more than happy to help if you ask.
It's worth putting in the time because it will definitely pay off. She certainly knows what she's talking about and makes difficult concepts easy to learn by showing many examples. Feb 2nd, She is really nice but can't teach for her life. Problem set solutions are poorly explained. Lectures were a waste of time, and the graded problem solving sessions were not worth the time.
